Have you ever joined a gym hoping that a personal trainer would help you? Well those $8 hr high school kids aren't good for much except showing you "what I like to do." It's even worse when someone introduces themselves to you and offers to help you with a set or two, and then tries to hit you with a pitch on why you should hire them as your new personal trainer. There are some great trainers out there, but they can be pretty pricey!
Between that and all the socializing that goes on, a trip to the gym can be a less then successful experience.
However, I also believe that a trip to the gym can be a very useful tool for maintaining my health.
I am not a personal trainer, fitness guru, or muscle man know-it-all. I don't have a lot of extra time, but I do like to exercise. I also find that different people have great tips on different exercises, I just don't want to have to pay a trainer for those tips.
So, my brother and I were talking about this and decided that we would start a website where we could post some of the things that we enjoy and have worked for us. Plus, we hope that people will share the things that work for them. Anything from home exercises to outdoor training tips, and things at the gym!
There are enough of us fitness enthusiasts around, that if we work together we can achieve our fitness goals and feel better.
Whether you are a couch potato, an active person, or a super star of fitness, this is the place to be to achieve new things. Along the way, we can share our experiences and knowledge with each other and build a fitter, better community.
